Tomorrow we celebrate a lifetime of knowing our son who would have been thirty-five yrs. old. It has indeed been thirty-five years of knowing Brandon. He has just been in Heaven for the last five years. Every single day he is in our minds and on our hearts. Some days more than others…but always there. Of all the milestones in his young life, I could never have anticipated that among all his firsts would include being the first one of our little family to go to Heaven.
First picture....”Welcome to the world little boy!” Michael Brandon Heath 7 lbs.15 ozs. and 21 in. long. Thursday, July 26, 1979. 10:48 p.m.. “Thursdays child has far to go….”
First time your sisters get to see you. Vanessa thought she could have her pic of any of the babies in the nursery.
They were so glad to have a baby brother.
First outfit being put on by me. The pants were too big so you just wore the shirt and diaper. Oh how I wish I could have these days again.
Very first independent step from Daddy to Mommy at your first birthday party. Girls were swarming all over the place.
I think of this poem as I remember the day of my child’s birth. His first step was one of many in his short twenty-nine years, It just wasn’t long enough no matter what the poem says….or maybe it meant as far as Heaven.
Mondays child is fair of face,
Tuesdays child is full of grace,
Wednesdays child is full of woe,
Thursdays child has far to go,
Fridays child is loving and giving,
Saturdays child works hard for his living,
And the child that is born on the Sabbath day
Is bonny and blithe, and good and gay.
Happy birthday Brandon.
